Adolph Ambrose Peltz

Adolph Ambrose Peltz passed away peacefully on the morning of Thanksgiving Day, October 9, 2017, at the East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home in Beausejour, at age 97.

He will be forever remembered and sorely missed by his wife Agnes, his daughter Wendy (Kennedy) and son Glenn, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Agnes, his sisters Ada, Anne and Caroline, and brother Andy.

Adolph wore many hats during his life – soldier, farmer, carpenter, Mr. Fix-It.  He was a loyal son, husband, father and friend and used his skills in many ways to help those who needed it.

In his final years, he often said “I’ve had a good life!” and was very content when he reflected on the various experiences he had in the army, on the farm and during his travels.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Joseph Partyka who was his gentle and compassionate family physician, to Dr. Nick Van Rensburg for his thoughtful care while Dad was at East Gate, to Home Care staff who were always patient and kind, to the compassionate staff at the Beausejour Health Centre where Dad spent this past summer and to the many kind and caring health care staff who became like family during Dad’s last month when he lived at East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home.  Also, a special thank you to Rev. Father Owen Steeves for his committed and understanding pastoral care.

To honour Dad’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service was held at the St. Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery in Beausejour.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to either Beausejour Health Centre or East Gate Lodge.

In the clouds a rainbow appears
a sign of everlasting friendship
between the Creator and the created.
When life starts limping
look to the rainbow and remember.
