Dad was predeceased by his parents Isaac and Anna Bergmann and his siblings Ike, Harry, Jake, Abe, Helen and Anne. He is survived by his brother Peter and sisters Margaret and Katherine.

Dad was born on September 13, 1927 in Winkler, Manitoba and married mom on June 1, 1951. They moved to Beausejour in 1962 where dad continued to work for Naaykens Transport and retired after 43 years.  Dad enjoyed his retirement and filled his days with Volunteer work.

Dad  was very grateful for all the help he received. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the wonderful home care workers and the staff of the Beausejour Hospital. Special thanks to Bev and Gord Muth and Ken and Marilyn Henschel.

Flowers are gratefully declined and in lieu, donations would be appreciated, in his honor to Elim Baptist Church.

A funeral service was held on Saturday January 14 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E., Beausejour, MB.

Pallbearers will be Tony’s grandchildren, Jeremy Kintop, Robyn Mueller, Krista Mueller, Darren Mueller, Nicholas Halowaty, Steven Halowaty and Carly Bisko.

I see his Face, This is my goal;

The deepest longing of my soul;

Through storm and stress my path I’ll trace

Till, satisfied, I see his face!

Howard & I want to offer our condolences to you, Alma, and to your family. We met you and Tony over 40 years ago, and remember him as a gentle and loving person. I remember, as little kid, being impressed with his Stetson! May the memories you have of him bring you comfort.
