Bella Kemball (Nee Vincent)

1927 ~ 2012

With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Bella, aged 85 years, on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the Pine Falls Health Complex.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years Arthur and her daughter Linda (Barry): granddaughter Kimberley; grandson Kevin (Danièle); and her great grandchildren Philip James; Julianne, and Charlotte Grace.  Also mourning her loss are Bella’s brother Victor (Rose) and sister Jeanne St. Croix.  Also remembering her are countless nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours.

She was predeceased by her parents Fortunat and Marie-Louise and her brothers Oscar, Philippe, Omer, Wilfrid, Joseph, and Sylvio; and sisters Marie Coronna, Aldea, Marie Antoinette, Maria, and Antoinette.

Born and raised in St. Georges, the only place she could think of to be.  She married her husband Arthur in 1948 and set up house in Powerview.  In 1949, she was blessed with the arrival of Linda.  In 1957, they moved back to her favorite St. Georges.  Between farming and gardening (her favourite pastime), she worked part-time at Bouvier’s Store until it closed in 1983.  After much consideration, Bella and Art fully retired and moved back to Powerview where they enjoyed their life together.  They enjoyed playing cards, gardening (on a smaller scale), reading and having tea and goodies with family and friends.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Care Staff at the Pine Falls Health Complex for the excellent care and concern.

A Memorial Mass was held on Monday, December 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church, Powerview, MB with Rev. Fr. James Gray.  There was a Prayer Service prior to Mass at 1:30 p.m. also at the Church.  Interment followed  in the Notre Dame du Laus Cemetery.
