It is with sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of our dear Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma on November 30, 2014 at East Gate Lodge in Beausejour, MB with her family at her side.

Mom was born in Vulcan, AB and lived in Mair, SK and Beausejour, MB.

She is survived by her children Connie Johnston, Dianne Thompson, Billy (Brenda), Cheryl (Dave) Lisoway, Garry, Kim (Earl) and Heather Kalauz, grandchildren Carly (Chris Minaker), Andrea Johnston, Ainsley (Jason) Murdock, Tracy ( Mark) Chambers, Terri (Jason) Kempin, Jodie (Dean) Speechley, Ted Greschuk, David (Amanda) Lisoway, Meghan Lisoway, Steven and Shelby Greschuk, William Schnellert, Aaron and Scott Kalauz.  She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill), parents Scott and Anne Tocher, brothers Mervyn, Donald and Scotty, sisters Mildred Tocher, Bernice Keilback, Hazel Chmielnicki and Joyce Obie, sons in-law Bruce Johnston and Tom Thompson, grandson Joseph Greschuk-Schnellert and two great grandchildren.

Betty married Bill Greschuk in 1947 and lived all her married life in the R.M. of Brokenhead.  Mom worked hard milking cows, raising chickens and growing a big garden.  She was famous for her pies and flowers which she won many award for at the local fair.  In later years, she was employed by the Beausejour Hospital and Beausejour Golf Course.

Dad always said mom was happiest when all her kids were home and she was busy cooking for them.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 5 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 516 Atlantic Avenue, Beausejour.  Cremation has taken place and a family interment will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty’s memory to East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home, Box 1690, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.
