Raymond Gaunt

1929 ~ 2015

Raymond passed away peacefully with family at his side, at the East Gate Lodge in Beausejour on February 11, 2015 at the age of 85.

He was predeceased by his parents Lilly and Joseph, and brother Ken.

He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 33 years Betty, his daughter Val (David), his grandchildren: Holly, Christopher, and Robyn; great grandchildren: Ashley, Austin, and Tristin; and three nephews.

Ray was born and raised in Winnipeg.  He spent most of his life working in the trucking industry.  Upon retiring, he and Betty settled in the Oakbank area.  He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of East Kildonan, and a board member of East Kildonan YMCA.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on the Shamrock Unit for all their care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Beausejour Skating Club, Box 1102, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.  He was instrumental in establishing a special camp for children with diabetes.

Cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held.
