1968 ~ 2012
On Saturday, December 22, 2012, Robert Earl Anderson aged 44 years, beloved husband of Leanne and father to Katie and Eric, passed away into the loving arms of his Lord and Saviour.
He will be forever missed by his in-laws Walter and Maureen Sanclemente, sisters and family Heather (Glen, Sarah, Dahna and Heidi) Godri, Elaine Stefaniuk (Ron), Courtney (Jason, Brooklyn) Stefaniuk, Chris Stefaniuk, Matthew (Hillary) Stefaniuk, Leah (Justin) Bridgeman, and brother in-law Walter (Patty, Devon, Brayden) Sanclemente and numerous extended family and friends.
Chosen and adopted at 6 weeks of age into his family, he became the delight of his Dad, Mom, and three sisters. Rob lived in Dauphin until age 1 and then moved to Brandon until the age of 4. The family then moved to Winnipeg, La Salle and then to Beausejour where he met the love of his life Leanne at the local coffee shop. Their whirlwind romance had them married very quickly with the babies to follow over the next seven years.
Rob loved the outdoors: hunting, fishing, ice fishing or even just setting up his tree stands and cameras. He loved the pursuit as much as the hunt, bringing home countless pictures of fawns and sometimes a big behemoth lurking behind a tree.
His love of the sport was genuine, true, and honest.
Rob held many jobs in his life. He worked at Canada Packers with his Dad then much later worked at Western Beef in Beausejour. After working for many years at Crow Duck Lake Camp, he decided to branch out on his own to run Anderson Outfitters, a fly-in fishing business out of the Whiteshell. At the time of his death, he had just taken a medical leave from running the Rene’s Septic Truck.
Funeral was held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. with a fireworks display and luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been established for Katie and Eric at the Sunova Credit Union, Beausejour Branch.
