1954 ~ 2017

Allan passed away on August 1, 2017 after enduring a long haul with acute asthma at East Gate Lodge in Beausejour.

He is predeceased by his parents Hilda Emily (Kriese) Peitsch and Charles Peitsch and oldest brother Wilfred Peitsch.  He is survived by Wilfred’s wife Rose & family of Winnipeg, Brother Wayne (Susan) & family of Beausejour and Sister Bernice & family of Edmonton, Alberta.

Allan made it to grade seven and then stayed home to work alongside his mom & dad on a 20-28 cow dairy farm. 365 days a year feeding & watering the cattle.  His parents retired to Beausejour in 1990 where Allan volunteered at East Gate Lodge feeding & transporting the residents for their meals, 3 times a day, 365 days a year for many years until he couldn’t due to his asthma.

Allan will be greatly missed.  He would phone me (Susan) at 5:00 a.m. in the morning happy as a lark raring to go “like all farmers are”.  Allan could be seen up & down town with his little grey Mazda.  We got Allan an electric wheelchair equipped with an oxygen tank on the back when he couldn’t drive anymore.  He wore out the front wheels within one year!

We’d like to thank everyone that stopped to talk to Allan to brighten his day and the staff at East Gate Lodge where he was “oh so happy”.

Funeral Service will be held at Elim Baptist Church in Beausejour on Friday, August 25 at 1:00 p.m.
