1956 ~ 2012

Suddenly at home in Pine Falls, MB on Monday, March 12, 2012, our loving son, brother, uncle and friend passed away.

Gavin was born on March 4, 1956 in Pine Falls, MB.  He was predeceased by his Dad, Slim.  He is survived by his mom Beth, brothers David (Donna) of Pine Falls, MB and Glen (Alice) of Sidney, B.C.  He was very proud of his nieces and nephews Steven (Tiffany) and Scott (Carolyn) of Victoria, B.C. and Megan and Kathleen of Winnipeg, MB.  Gavin is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Gavin didn’t want a funeral but in his memory, please do a good deed for someone.  Special thanks to all who have been there for Gavin.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Val Desautels, Terry Wert, Const. Avery and the Pine Falls EMS; also to John Hawranik, Andrea Chevrefils, Drs. Essa and Steinbart for the dedicated care Gavin received.

My deepest condolences go out to Beth, Dave, Glen and all the Frederick Family. I’m sorry to hear from your loss. Gavin was truly one of my best friends growing up in Pine Falls. We had many Fun times and we also got ourselves in to alot of trouble too. But it was all part of growing up in PF. I will always cherish Gavin as a true friend.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to the family at the loss of your loved one, Gavin. Although I have not seen Gavin for some time now we were in the same circle of friends in our teen years and remember him as being a kind, loving guy who always liked to have fun and maybe sometimes get into a little mischief! May he rest in peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. We have many fond memories of Gavin. There were so many fun times and good laughs at the curling club. At the school and in Bissett he was always willing to go the extra mile to help someone out. He always took the time to stop and chat whenever we met.He will be missed – rest easy Gavin.
