July 26, 1994 ~ February 16, 2018

“It takes sunshine and rain to make a rainbow. There would be no rainbows without sunshine and rain.” On February 16, our sunshine disappeared. Jordan Black’s energy and spirit will be remembered and lives on in the hearts of those who had the opportunity to know and love him.

It is with profound sadness that Jordan’s parents Kelvin and Cathy, along with brother Kurtis (Kayla), and sister Shaylynn (Matt, Rylee and Aiden) share the news of his passing.

Jordan’s spirit was as bright and colourful as the life he led. He showed us all how to dance like no one was watching, never skipping a beat.  Jordan had many passions.  He was a founding member of Instagram’s famous Frenchfryates.  He loved ‘pretending’ to be a photographer, which he did as a hobby but could have been a professional.  Jordan had a passion for traveling, he grew very fond of Australia and a part of him will always be there. Jordan loved his regular day trips to the Texas Road House in Grand Forks. His sense of style ranged from cozy pyjamas to memorable outfits and an endless supply of shoes. Jordan loved singing at the top of his lungs, and telling you exactly what you needed to know.

Jordan will be missed by the individual’s succeeding him including, Grandma and Grandpa Black, Grandma Gail, Grandpa Lenny (Christa), and numerous relatives, co-workers and so many friends whose hearts he touched.

IERHA will miss their star scheduling clerk and the enthusiasm that he brought to work each and every day. With the famous line “Do you have a lunch today”

Jordan will live on forever young in the hearts of those who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 3:30pm, at the Brokenhead River Community Hall in Beausejour. Guests are encouraged to sport their favourite colour/outfit/shoes in true Jordan fashion. Let’s make his rainbow shine one last time.

Condolence from John and Liz Hannon on February 26th, 2018 2:26 pm

Our condolences goes out to Kathy, Kelvin and family. We are truly sorry for the loss of your sunshine, Jordon. We briefly got to know Jordon when he was helping out at Country Bumkins. John loved to tease him in which Jordon took the teasing in stride with a little blush. Always a loving smile and a glee in his eye! Jordon will always be in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Kathy, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

John and Liz Pinawa, Mb.
