Agnes (Aggie) Margaret
Hibbert
Dec 21, 1939 — Aug 17, 2026
It is with deep sadness the family of Aggie Hibbert shares that she has left us after a short but courageous battle with cancer. It is not surprising that mom has decided to go home to the love of her life, her beloved Glenn (Shack), who left us just a year ago. Mom is survived by her son Bill (Jeannette), daughter Leanne (Michael), grandchildren Bryna (Micheal), Alicia (Alden), Everette, Ren (Katelyn) and great grandsons Easton, and Riley (Emily). Her sisters meant the world to her, and she will be deeply missed by Dodie, Eileen and Lucy as well as her many nieces and nephews. We cannot thank Dodie and Tanis enough for the hours they spent by mom’s bedside in her final days, offering comfort and many giggles. Our appreciation also goes to all those who stopped by to visit lifting mom’s spirits on some tough days.
Laughter was always the best medicine for mom. We know her spark has left an inextinguishable light in Pine Falls and in the hearts of her many lifelong friends. Special thanks to Doris and Lucille for your daily visits and check-ins with mom while she was still at home.
As a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and auntie, family was mom’s first joy. Dinners at mom and dads were always punctuated by mom’s loud, infectious laugh and her wisecracks, along with her attentive care and love for everyone gathered around the table. Mom cherished her relationships with all her family, most notably her grandchildren, who she spoiled and indulged with abandon. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her family for a laugh and for love. We cannot imagine our lives without her.
Mom’s sense of humour and love of laughter spilled outside 2 Beech Street to the community of Pine Falls. Her over the top antics for the women’s bonspiels, Ol’ Kings shenanigans, or anything happening in town that needed some creativity and fun earned her the “Grand Aggie” title. If there was a play to be performed or a parade to be paraded, mom was there with boundless energy and ideas. Her famous hat collection brought entertainment to many parties. Pictures barely capture the glee Aggie brought to everything she was involved in. She recounted these joyful memories with much laughter in her final days.
Mom and our family received incredible, compassionate care at the Pinawa Hospital. Our love and appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff.
We’ll always miss you Mom– but we promise to keep laughing. Your light will shine in our hearts forever.
According to Aggie’s wishes, she will be laid to rest in a small graveside service surrounded by close family. Our sincerest thanks to Kelly Sharpe for helping to send mom home.
