It’s with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grand father, brother, uncle and friend, Bruce “Griz” Miller at the age of 65.

Bruce spent most of his life working as a diamond driller, a career that reflected his strength, dedication, and resilience. He later finished his working years with the Town of Lac du Bonnet, where he became a familiar and friendly face in the community. Many will remember Bruce for his daily routine—watering the town’s plants each morning, always with a big smile and a wave for everyone he passed. His simple gestures brought joy to countless people.

He will be remembered by his brothers, nieces, as well as many relatives and friends and was predeceased by his mother, Hilda, and father, Lee.

He was a proud and loving father to his daughter, Kristin, and a cherished grandfather to his grandsons, Mason and Ethan. He also shared a special bond with his son-in-law, Adam. Papa Griz was such a proud father and grandfather and would brag to everyone about them any chance he got, family meant everything to him.

Known affectionately as “Griz,” Bruce will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle soul, his easygoing nature, and the way he made people feel seen and welcomed. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A special thank you to Beausejour and Pinawa Hospitals for making dad as comfortable as possible in his final days. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026 in Lac du Bonnet.
