Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Ilona Rosa Naurocki on Monday, August 3, 2026. She passed away in her sleep, surrounded by the love of her family.

Ilona was born on June 27, 1959. She was predeceased by her father; Klaus, her mother; Helga, and her brother; Michael; they are all now on a forever fishing adventure.

Ilona leaves behind her devoted husband; Albert (Bud), & Nugget, her sister-in-law, Betty (Russ),

her son; Jason, her daughter; Lisa (Ed), her cherished grandchildren; Mackenzie, Rogan, Jasper, and her nephew; Brian.

Ilona had a true love for life. She enjoyed camping, sitting by the fire, and spending time with family and friends. She cherished the simple moments, the laughter shared, and the memories created with the people she loved.

From the moment she entered this world, she seemed destined to love fishing. Whether she was out on the open water in a boat, ice fishing from a cozy hut, or casting a line beside her favorite pond in Lac du Bonnet, she was happiest with a fishing rod in her hands. Fishing was more than a pastime—it was where she found peace, joy, and some of her happiest moments.

She was also well known for her wonderful recipes and her generous spirit. Whether preparing a savory family meal or creating delicious baked treats, she expressed her love through food.

When she was at home, you could almost always find her tending her gardens. She took great pride in nurturing her vegetables and flowers, finding happiness in watching them grow.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Beausejour Hospital, Palliative Care & Homecare Team. Your kindness, care, and support during this difficult time will never be forgotten.

In leu of flowers, donations can be sent to Jacks Animal Rescue.
