Laurette Annette Marie Sundstrom

February 6, 1959 – June 8, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Laurette Annette Marie Sundstrom on June 8, 2026, at the Pine Falls hospital at the age of 67. Laurette was predeceased by her parents Oscar and Annette Papineau.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband David of 43 years, her daughters Nicole and Tara (Sean), her son Evan (Lyndsey) and granddaughters Taylor and Nevaeh. She will also be remembered by her sister Claudette along with many cousins and friends. She brightened the life of all of those who were blessed to know her.

Born in Pine Falls on Feb 6, 1959, Laurette grew up raising cattle with her parents and knew how to appreciate the simple pleasures in life. She was an extremely generous soul and very hardworking. Laurette held many jobs over the years while also farming and raising her family. She had a passion for her community and was an active volunteer on councils and contributed to her local museum. Laurette was also known for her love of horses and playing cards. Over the years, she has trained many horses and mentored many other riders while riding the trails or on her family farm. She always had a smile for anyone she met and was ready to help whenever it was needed, often on her horse.

Her family and friends meant the world to her. Her memory will be especially cherished by her loving husband David, who will hold their many years together dear to him. Her kindness, giving spirit and devotion will stay in our hearts forever.

A private celebration of life is to be held by her family at a later date.
