Posted By Sobering Funeral Chapel On September 28, 2021 @ 2:30 pm In Obituaries | 13 Comments

It is will great sadness that I announce the passing of Steven Frank Sydorko, at the age of 95, on September 28, 2021.  He passed peacefully at Park Manor Care in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Steve was predeceased by his son Ron; daughter Tamara; sisters Sophie, Bertha, Kay, Anne, Jean, Mary and Millie and brother Mickey.  Survived by his wife of 49 years, Elsa (Boland); daughter-in-law Linda and numerous nieces and nephews in Winnipeg, Ontario and B.C.

Steve was born in Brightstone, Manitoba on August 11, 1926.  He spent 30 years working in business.  First as a bulk agent with Shell Oil, then together with Elsa they built a car wash and fast food restaurant in Lac du Bonnet that they worked at for 13 years.  Steve loved many things, besides his children, he loved Elsa.  Together they spent many happy hours working on their yard, feeding birds and chipmunks, traveling south as snowbirds to Florida and Texas and enjoying bluegrass music.  He loved to have friends and relatives over.  He had a short stay at Park Manor Care, but received wonderful care.  Thank you

A Celebration of Steve’s life will take place at a later date.

May the lord watch between me and thee while we are absent one from the other.

Love Elsa
