It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Susan Pepin on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at the age of 58, at Pine Falls Hospital.

Susan will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 36 years Alan, son Adam (Vanessa), grandchildren Cheyenne and Aldon, sisters Lorraine (Cec) and Karen (Vinny), mother in-law Janice, brothers in-law Roger (Svetlana) and Alain, sisters in-law Susan (Gerald), Donna (Craig), Norma, Bernadine (Larry) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Susan was predeceased by her parents Doris and William, father in-law Adelard, and sister in-law Evelyn.

Susan worked at Sunnywood Manor for 29 years.  The staff and co-workers were like a second family.  Susan had a knack for nurturing people and plants alike.  She loved to spend her spare time outside meticulously taking care of her yard and gardening as well as spending time with her two dogs Sadie and Poppy.  Susan had a beautiful smile, gentle demeanor and will be missed by all she touched.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Pine Falls Hospital for the care and compassion they gave Susan.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Great Falls Community Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan’s memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB  R3E 0V9.

Condolences for the family of “Susan Doris Pepin (nee Hladki)”

Condolence from Theresa Kosack on December 4th, 2019 1:25 pm

I had the priviledge to work nights with Susan for over 20 years. She would always come to work with a smile on her face and greet everybody with a how was your evening or how was your night, dependin on which shift she was on, as she worked days and nights. Each resident got acknowledged by her before she started her day. I don’t think there was any staff member or Sunnywood resident who never got a “Susan” hug. She was one of a kind and I miss her so much. Rest easy my friend. I will always remember you when I am working in my garden. And when the gladiolas are in bloom. My sincere condolences to Al, Adam, Vanessa and family. And also to the Pepin and Hladki families

Condolence from Celena Frayne on December 6th, 2019 4:04 pm

My heart is heavy and its very difficult to go to work since her passing…. as we are all very sad and hurting.
I worked with her for over 25 years! Susan was my preceptor when I was a HCA and she taught me how to survive on the tough days! Susan was compassionate and caring and we always made the best of every day. Then when I took my nursing she was always so supportive and showed me that she was proud of me with her caring eyes and genuine smile! She called me Celena Beana and we just worked very well together. Plus at harvest time she always brought the staff fresh veggies from her garden that she worked on with love! Greatest person inside and out! She will be missed dearly everyday!
My deepest condolences to Adam, Alan and family!!
