1923-2018
William Pescitelli peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the age of 94. William was born in Beausejour, MB to John and Rose Pescitelli. He married Nellie Mykietowich in 1950 and they moved to the Pescitelli family farm. Nellie, William’s wife of 52 years, passed away at the age of 70 in 2002. The Pescitelli family is grateful that they can now be together again. William will be sadly missed by his sons, Alvin (Valerie) and Arnold (Michele), grandchildren, Jamie (Rob), Christopher (Christine), Kelly Ann (Kenton), Erik and Owen (Kandace). He will also be missed by his four great grandchildren. He is survived by the only remaining sibling, Charles Pescitelli. The farm was an important aspect of his life. It was a special meeting place enjoyed by family and friends for many years. His memory will always live in our hearts.
Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 530 Atlantic Ave., Beausejour. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Christopher Pescitelli, Erik Pescitelli, Owen Pescitelli; his nephews, Brent Mykietowich, Cory Mykietowich and Kenton Staines (Kelly Ann).
Family would especially like to thank all of the staff at the Beausejour Hospital for the excellent care William received while in hospital. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to Beausejour Hospital.
