Sobering Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, was founded in 1985 by Doug and Marlene Sobering. Sobering Funeral Chapel is now owned and operated by Elizabeth Siebold. Libby and her staff strive to provide personal and professional services to people of all faiths.
Sobering Funeral Chapel is a practical, fully equipped and attractive wheel-chair accessible facility for the community and surrounding area. The facility is licensed under Public Utilities Board of Manitoba and bonded for at-need services as well as pre-arrangements.
The funeral home has gone through two expansions since opening: first doubling the capacity of the chapel to accommodate 450+ people and then in 1998, adding an on-site state-of-the-art crematorium.
Libby Siebold is very proud of her professional staff: office manager, funeral director and embalmer Rhonda Friesen McElroy; and funeral director and embalmer Bonnie Solylo. Part time staff consists of Shelley Marion, Dallas Lafontaine, Ray Weber, Art Otto, Ernie Otto, Todd Letwin, Michelle Shaw, Cheryl Shaw, Jeff Goethals, Gordon Otto, Jay Lafontaine, Stephen Isaac and Greg Smith. On-call 24/7, calls are answered personally or by one of the staff in Beausejour.
Libby Siebold and her staff are proud to serve the families of rural Manitoba.
