Mrs. Bernadette Kafka, aged 59 years of Beausejour, MB, dearly beloved wife and best friend of Leo Kafka, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Beausejour Hospital.
She is survived by her devoted husband Leo, sisters Lyn (Rene) Prefontain and Val (George) Buchanan also many nieces and nephews. Bernadette is also survived by Leo’s brothers and sisters and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Hanford and Goldie Barton.
Thanks to the home care workers and staff of East Gate Lodge for their care and compassion during Bernadette’s stay.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, September 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with Rev. Bart Coleman officiating. Interment to follow at a later date.
