Alma Bergman

With broken hearts we announce the passing of our mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend, Alma Bergman on July 15, 2025, with her family by her side.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Doug, her two daughters Barb (Harlon) Kintop and Jan (Brian) Halowaty; grandchildren Jeremy (Robyn), Krista (Darren), Carly, Nicholas and Steven; great-grandchildren Liam, Hallie, Linden, Gavin, Camden and Kassidy. She is also survived by her brother Richard (Carol) Rosentreter and sister Eleanor (Lloyd) Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, by three sisters-in-law Shirley Rosentreter, Gerry Rosentreter, and Joanne Rosentreter. She was predeceased by her loving husband Tony; siblings Henry, Anne, Lydia, Sam, Chuck, John and Ken.

Mom was born on Christmas Eve 1931 in Cloverleaf. She married dad on June 1, 1951, and together they raised their family. They moved to Beausejour in 1962. Mom loved gardening and spent many hours on her knees to keep weeds at bay. She stayed in her house until January 2025 when she finally got her wish to live at Stoney Plains assisted living facility. She had a short stay in the hospital and finally moved into her suite on April 7, 2025.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all the homecare workers, staff at Beausejour and Selkirk hospitals for the excellent care she received in the last year.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB. Interment will follow the service in the Beausejour Town Cemetery.

REST IN PEACE MOM, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.

Mom supported a lot of charities including Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke, Cancer Care and Siloam Mission. If you feel inclined, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
