It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carl Earl Roberts, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who passed away peacefully at his home in Pinawa, Manitoba, surrounded by loved ones on July 26, 2026.
Carl was born on August 8, 1951, in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. He grew up in Brandon, Manitoba and obtained a Bachelor of Science from Brandon University. In 1974, Carl married the love of his life, Gail, and moved to Winnipeg, where he worked as a supervisor in food production. Together they spent more than 50 years building a life centered around family, raising two daughters, travelling the world, and eventually retiring in Pinawa.
Carl was the one who showed up to every game, every celebration, and every moment that mattered. He was a man of few words whose actions spoke volumes. His quiet strength, unwavering support, and generous nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Carl enjoyed spending his time fishing, golfing, playing cards, tending his garden, and listening to music. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family.
Carl is lovingly remembered by his wife, Gail; his daughters, Christine (Michael) Gerardy and Valerie Roberts (Stefan Scheers); and his grandson, Jonas Gerardy. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings, Nancy-Jo Wells, Jack (Brenda) Roberts, and Laurel Roberts; his sisters-in-law, Joan Bloxom, Diane (Jack) Spalding, and Sandra (Garry) Robins; as well as his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Carl was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Joan Roberts, and his parents-in-law, Thomas and Elaine Turpin.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the healthcare professionals and caregivers whose compassion and support brought comfort to Carl and his loved ones.
A celebration of Carl's life will be held with family members at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
