Emil Harrison

Dec 30, 1937 — Jun 21, 2026

Emil Harrison was called to rest peacefully on his farm of over 50 years.

He was 89. It was his paradise in which he found joy in gardening, farming, and heavy equipment. With each paycheck, he set aside a portion for building materials. With his own hands and a few years, he built his house to raise his family of four children – Kim Plenar (Dean Kozub), Susan Harrison, David Harrison and Shawn Harrison (Lisa Harrison).

Emil enjoyed making memories on the farm with his four grandchildren – Savannah Lillies (Ryan Lillies), Callum Plenar, Brad Harrison (Karissa Harrison), and Riley Harrison. He was so excited to meet his great-grandson Kolter Harrison, a recent addition to his family. He also leaves behind his younger brother Rudy Harsany.

He made a living doing what he loved every day, operating his graders and draglines. Having his own equipment and running his business were quite the accomplishments considering he finished school in grade 8. He then started his first job in a logging camp in Ontario. After that, he worked for Fraser’s Sand & Gravel. He worked hard for many years to save money to buy his farmland and heavy equipment. That’s when he became a self-employed contractor, mainly for the RM of Springfield, as a Grader and Dragline Operator.

He built everything from nothing. Neither a day nor dollar wasted. It was a life of work and sacrifice, but he loved it all. Being the hard worker, he was, his life ended perfectly. He worked right until his final day on earth. He will be cherished and missed by all who loved him. The family will hold a small private service as per his wishes.
