Garry (Gary) Bruneau

Peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the Lac du Bonnet Care Home, Gary fell asleep in death after a battle with throat cancer.

Garry will be greatly missed by his children, Daniel Bruneau, Diana Monson, Ryan Bruneau, Courtney Chrol (TJ), Paul Bruneau and his grandchildren. Garry is survived by his siblings, Evelyn Beauchamp (Ken), MaryLynn Bannatyne (Bruce), brother Harry (Lorie) Bruneau ,and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Rose and Robert Sr. Bruneau, sister Grace Bodnaruk (Don) and brother, Robert Jr. Bruneau.

Garry was born in Winnipeg, grew up in Charleswood and eventually made his home in Lac du Bonnet. Garry loved to hunt, cook, carpentry, mechanics, horses, playing his guitar and visiting friends. He had a great voice and loved western music. Garry suffered a stroke in 2014 at the age of 57. Much thanks is given to those at the Lac du Bonnet Care Home who cared for Garry with great patience, kindness and grace, especially Nurse Allison and Clayton.

Garry's funeral will be held on Thursday, July 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the Notre Dame du Lac Catholic Church, 65 McArthur Ave., Lac du Bonnet. The Internment will be family private.
