It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Howard George McAfee on July 14th, 2026, at the age of 77. Howard was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, cherished brother, fun Unc’ and loyal friend.
Howard will be remembered for his infectious sense of humour and his ability to make everyone around him laugh. He lived life on his own terms, never afraid to push the limits, embrace adventure, and make the most of every moment. Above all, Howard loved his family wholeheartedly and treasured the time he spent with those he loved.
His legacy of laughter, strength, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Howard is lovingly survived by his wife, Theresa, his daughters: Crystal and Sherri Lou, and step-daughters: Laurie (John), and Barb. His grandchildren: Shalee, Paige, Shelby, Kayli, Dayton, Rylan, and Connor. His sister, Debra Anne (Doug), and brother, Bill (Cynthia). He will also be lovingly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Howard was predeceased by his Parents: Howard and Marie McAfee, Brother and sister-inlaw: Barry and Shirley McAfee, Cherished friend and mother of his children, Carol Agate, and Niece, Virginia.
Howard will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A special and heartfelt thank you to our daughter, Barb, who lovingly stepped into the role of both daughter and nurse. Because of her compassionate care, endless devotion, and gentle strength, Howard was able to spend his final days where he most wanted to be– at home, surrounded by the love of his family. This is a gift we will cherish and never forget.
