It is with our deeply saddened hearts that we the daughters of Kathlean Betker (Telesky) (nee Sawchuk) announce that God has called our much-loved Angel Home; our Mother, Grandma, Sister, and Friend. On June 21, 2026, at the Selkirk Regional Health Center, our precious Mom Kathlean peacefully passed away.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, strength and devoted love her daughters, Deborah (Todd), beloved grandchildren Dion (Curtis) and Brendon (Braelynn); Darlene, beloved grandchildren Paige (Neil), Dylan (Chelsey) and their father Denis; Sandra, beloved grandchildren Katelyn and Travis; her siblings George (Doris), Vera, Rick and the many other family and friends she had in her life.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Ron Telesky (1999), and her second husband, Alvin Betker (2019); her parents Anton and Annie; siblings Danny, Steffie, Billie, Olga and Virgina.

Mom was a very strong, caring and loving woman and survived many trials throughout her life and walked through them all with love, strength and courage.

With her unconditional, loving, and caring heart, she took many under her wings and cared for them without any hesitation. Mom so enjoyed gardening, her birds, and wildlife, and she always cared and loved them as well.

No words can describe how loving, courageous and strong our Mom was even through her last few months with her fight with recurring Cancer. She has given us so much to remember and value from her smile that lit up any room she entered, her laughter that will never be forgotten, and her amazing strength to never give up no matter what life challenges entered our lives. We were all so truly blessed to have been given this wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend to love and she will be dearly missed.

Mom your love and tender kiss will be remembered and forever missed.

Your fight is over; peace has come; now you shine bright as the sun.

It was time for you to go; your smile so sweet; your journey complete.

Till we meet again at Heavens door and be together just like before.

We will look to the skies, to see you fly; over the seas, where you are free; and next to us you’ll - Always be.

We Love you Mom.

Debbie and Darlene wish to extend their utmost love and appreciation to their sister Sandy who, without hesitation, dedicated herself to overseeing Mom's wishes, her care and all the medical teams. Sandy you took on a task that was far from easy and we want you to know you did an amazing job, your time, love and devotion will be forever cherished in our hearts. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Monarch Industries for their patience, understanding and the time away they gave to Sandy to care for Mom.
