Lawrence Richard Groinus

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Lawrence (Larry) - son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle on September 27th, 2025, at East Gate Lodge in Beausejour, MB

Larry was born on May 4th, 1948. He was born in Beausejour and raised and lived on the family farm just outside of Tyndall, MB.

Larry leaves behind his sister-in-law, Sylvia, nephew, Trevor (Sheri), nieces, Tracey (Wayne) and Cheryl and his great-niece, Paige, great nephews, Kyle (Danielle), Michael, Brayden, Jarvis, Vaughn and Cullen as well as his great-great niece- Hallie. He was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Mary (Hlady) Groinus and his only brother, Wilfred Groinus.

Larry was very close to his brother Wilf and sister-in-law Sylvia who cared for him on the family farm after his parents passed. Larry lived for the last 24 years at East Gate Lodge and attended many workshops with his friends at ACL in Beausejour.

Larry had a very infectious smile and always had something to say to everyone. In his younger years he enjoyed walking and visiting Wilf and Sylvia on the farm.

We would like to express our heartfelt thank you to Dr. Nick Van Rensburg and all the dedicated staff at East Gate Lodge who took such great care of Larry over the years.

May he now rest in peace with his mother, father and brother in heaven. There will be no formal funeral service. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.
