Mary Peluk

March 28, 1941 — October 11, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Peluk (nee Woraczek), beloved wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother/great grandmother, on October 11, 2025, at the age of 84.

Mary was born in Dauphin, Manitoba on March 28, 1941. At the age of 19, she ventured to the big city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she began building her career. She worked at Stein Jewellers, Woolworth's and later Zellers, where she excelled as a department head. During her time at Zellers, her strong work ethic and leadership caught the attention of Laura Secord, who sought to recruit her, however Mary ultimately chose to follow a different path.

In December 1966, she met the love of her life, Ken. They were married on May 11, 1968, and went on to share 57 wonderful years. The couple moved to Beausejour and later built their home in Ladywood, where they farmed side by side until retiring in 2012.

Family was Mary's greatest joy. She and Ken were blessed with three beautiful daughters, Lisa (Greg), Dawn (Darryl) and Tammy (Rich). Her heart overflowed with love for her six grandchildren, Jessica (Tyler), Lauren (Josh), Corbin, Sydney (boyfriend, Sean), Tia (boyfriend, Evan), and Zach (girlfriend, Fiona). Mary also held a special joy in her great-grandchildren Jaxxon, Zoe and Carter. She is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, Jozef and Mary Woraczek and her sisters Betty, Lillian, Stella, Anne, Muriel and Albene.

Mary had a love for travel, enjoying many memorable vacations to destinations such as Hawaii, Cuba and Europe. She also cherished exploring Western Canada and the United States in the motorhome. She had a passion for cooking and baking, especially for kolache. Each grandchild had a favourite flavour, and she took joy in making them all. She enjoyed her years running the canteen at the curling rink. You knew she was there when the smell of fresh cinnamon buns filled the air. Mary could often be found at the ball diamonds cheering on her kids, or at the rink rooting for her favourite little hockey players.

The family extends their deepest appreciation to the staff of Pinawa Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion. Your support and dedication brought comfort to her and to those who loved her.

Cremation has taken place and details of a memorial service will be shared at a later date.

You are loved beyond words and

missed beyond measure"
