It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Murray, on August 12, 2025, at the age of 67 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Susie; his children, Carter (Brigitte) and Shane; and his grandchildren, Cameron and Audrey.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Marilyn (Barry), Barbara (Allan), and Michele (Michel); his sister-in-law, Pauline (Bob); brother-in-law, Paul (Verna); dear friends Willie and Julie Lavoie; as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Richard and mother Dorothy.
Murray was born on February 8, 1958, in Pine Falls, where he grew up. He spent his childhood with family at Gull Lake, where many cherished memories were made. As a young man, he began working at the paper mill, where he earned his Red Seal certification as an electrician.
As a newly engaged man, he purchased a piece of property “across the river” on the water and never looked back. He and Susie built a life on that property that he was very proud of. Murray had a unique way of renovating the house that made us smile but it was his and he loved every bit of it. He was happiest when doing a new project, always adding and improving.
Family always came first for Murray. He took great pleasure in spending time with those he loved, whether travelling together, visiting, chatting on the phone, or simply sharing a beer. He loved his family immensely and found great joy in spoiling us all, especially his grandchildren. He was always willing to give a helping hand whenever he was needed, no questions asked.
In accordance with Murray’s wishes, no memorial service will be held. Friends and family are invited to remember him in their own way.
He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
