Myles Raymond Toker

Feb 28, 1990 — Oct 20, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness to announce the sudden tragic and heartbreaking passing of Myles Raymond Toker on October 20th, 2026, at the age of 36.

Myles was born on February 28, 1990, at St Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB.

He lived a life that was bright, memorable, and unmistakably his own. Myles had a way of walking into a room and making it better, usually with a grin, a perfectly timed joke, and the kind of presence that made people feel like they had known him forever.

Myles was the beloved son of Dianne and Blaine Toker, the cherished brother of Bryce Toker and his partner Leslie, and the proud uncle of Hunter and Sawyer. He is and will always be deeply loved by Amanda Mokriy, the mother of his daughter. Their life was filled with love, ups and downs, laughter and the kind of moments that become the stories a family tells forever. His daughter, Emily, was and will always be his whole world, anyone who knew Myles knew that his face changed the moment he talked about her. He was dearly loved by his extended family on both his mother and father's sides, Amanda’s parents, Kathrin and Kelvin Subczak, as well as the rest of Amanda’s family and many friends.

Myles attended Red River College, where he trained to become a journeyman electrician, a path that suited his sharp mind and steady work ethic. He started his electrical apprenticeship at Kelvin Electric and in the most recent years worked as a Journeyman Electrician at T & A Electric, where he brought not only skill and reliability, but also the kind of humor that could make even an ordinary workday feel a little less ordinary. He was intelligent, funny, and loving, and those qualities showed up in everything he did. He was the type of man who could solve a problem, crack a joke, and somehow make both look easy.

Outside of work, Myles loved spending time with his daughter, and those moments were among the greatest joys of his life. Whether they were playing video games, going for bike rides, skateboarding, or playing guitar, he was happiest when he was with Emily. He also loved spending time with his family, and friends; he made those gatherings better simply by being there. Myles had a gift for being a jokester, and he used it generously. He knew how to lighten the mood, how to make people laugh when they needed it most, and how to deliver a line with such perfect timing that even the most serious person in the room had to give in. He also enjoyed cooking and music, both of which reflected his warmth and creativity. If there was food involved especially chips or gummy candies, there was usually a good story, and if there was music playing, you would find Myles singing along.

Those who knew Myles will remember his intelligence, his humor, and his loving nature, but they will also remember the way he made people feel. He had a big heart, a quick wit, and a personality that left an impression wherever he went. He was the kind of person who could turn an ordinary moment into something worth remembering. He was the person that made everyone laugh but also the person everyone leaned on, which is not something you can teach. That was just Myles.

His family and friends will carry his memory forward with love, gratitude, and plenty of stories that will likely be told with laughter and a few tears. They will remember his voice, his smile, his sense of humor, and the way he loved his daughter and family so deeply. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made was lasting. Myles Raymond Toker will be remembered always as a devoted father, a loving boyfriend, a treasured son and brother, a proud uncle, a great friend and a man whose life was filled with heart, humor, and love.

A celebration of life will be held for Myles Toker on Friday November 20th/2026 at 6:30pm. Located at the All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church Hall 1500 Day Street in Transcona.
