It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Odette Makela who passed away in Eric’s arms on December 15, 2023 at the age of 76.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Eric, as well her children, Christopher (Coralee) Moffat, Tanya (Rob) Shonosky, Pam (Warren) Black, Loretta Makela, Rylan (Torrin) Makela, and Kaitlyn Makela (Tristen Land). She is survived by her 9 grandchildren.
Many thanks to the RCMP, EMS and Pastor James Schwab for all their care and compassion.
As per Odette’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, Manitoba.
