Raymond (Ray) Brennan

July 29, 1956 — April 18, 2024

Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba

After a battle from Cancer Raymond Brennan (Ray) passed away peacefully at home on April 18th early in the morning. He is survived by his wife Caroline, children Zachary (Véronique), and Breeann (Colton), sisters Marjorie (Murray), Beatrice (Ronnie), brothers John (Sandy), and Robert (Bonnie) and all his nieces and nephews. Ray was retired from hydro after 41 years; he started off in Utility, then graduated to Power Electrician then ended his career as an Electrical Supervisor. Ray also had a very busy home and social life, while in retirement he always found work somewhere. His last big project was completing the perfect retirement home that himself and his wife could enjoy.

Ray was always very involved in his community at Pinawa Bay in the RM of Lac du Bonnet. He would always make sure there was a large rink cleared for everyone to enjoy. Then later with the help of other community members, Zac, Bob, Mike, Mitch, and Norm they added Crokinole Curling. And if anyone needed tools, their driveway to be cleared, grass cut, welding, or anything Ray would always have the tool for the job; always ready and willing to help. He also loved playing hockey, baseball, curling, quadding, fishing and snowmobiling which led him to get involved with the Lee River Snow Rider's community where he helped with grooming and clearing of many sled trails. While Ray was very involved with his community, he was also very supportive of his kids playing many sports like hockey, baseball, and pretty much every school sport that was offered. He even coached the hockey and baseball teams that his children were on while in Lac du Bonnet. Rays passing has left a void in many peoples hearts. He will be missed dearly by all of those he has touched by his love, kindness, and overall personality.

As per Ray’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made in Ray’s memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg, MB  R3E 9Z9.
