Romeo (Heavy Chevy) Chevrefils

October 21, 1945 — August 23, 2025

It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Romeo Joseph Cheverfils, who passed with family by his side on August 23, 2025, at the age of 79. He is predeceased by his parents, Marie and Harvey; his brothers Lawrence, Donat, Sylvio (Cecile), Albert (Alice), Alan; his sister Lillian and his brother-in-law Mike. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Margaret; his sons Lawerence and Kevin; his siblings Linda (Maurice), Maureen, Lionel (Dolly), sister Alice and his sister-in-law Yvonne. As well he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family. Chevy was born and raised on the North Shore Rd. When he was young, he loved to play baseball, golf and curl. Fishing was his greatest passion next to raising his boys. He was quite a jokester.

We’d like to give many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the HSC and Beausejour Hospital for the wonderful care he received. Also, many thanks to friends and family for their acts of kindness. As per Romeo’s request, cremation has taken place, and no formal funeral will be held

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The next time you cast a line think of Chevy ❤️ 🎣
