Ruth Hilda Schulte

On Friday, January 30, 2026, Ruth Schulte, left us after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ruth and Gerold were married for 55 years.

Ruth left behind 2 daughters, Ingrid (Emil) Erickson, and Amanda (Bernie) Unrau, daughter in-law Debbie, 4 grandchildren Mathew, Dylan, Angelina, and Stacey (Spencer), sister in-law Arlene Pommer and many other family members.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband Gerold in 2019, son Ronald in 2023, daughter Christine in 1972, parents Jack and Hulda Pommer, brothers Gordon (Louise), Del (Rose) and Wayne.

Ruth loved her latest pet dogs, Squirt and Dean, her cats, spending time with grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoyed watching wrestling with her husband, Debbie, Ingrid and Angie.

Ruth worked egg grading for approximately 10 years then went to cook till 2017; first at numerous places around Lac du Bonnet then in Pinawa Hospital for 28 years with her friend Bernice Bukoski.

The family wishes to thank the amazing staff at Pine Falls and Pinawa Hospitals for the care they gave mom.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior to the service at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with cremation to follow. Interment of the urn will follow with family at a later date.
