With heavy hearts, we announce the tragic passing of our beloved daughter, sister, girlfriend, granddaughter, niece, cousin, aunt, and friend, Samantha (Sam) Lommen, on May 14, 2024, at the age of 30.
Predeceased by her grandmother Elsie and her Opa Jacob, Sam will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Sharon and Ed; her siblings, Alex (Bruce and Bradford) and Crystal; as well she leaves her boyfriend Clayton, niece Parker and his family. She is also survived by her grandpa Gordon, her Oma Anna, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Her pets, Walter and George, will miss her dearly.
Sam was a kind, generous, and fun-loving person who embraced all that life had to offer. Rain or shine, she was ready to take on any adventure or challenge. She had a huge heart and loved helping people; considering family, friends, and the fire departments her whole world. From her role as an older sister, to her positions on the Lac Du Bonnet and Pinawa fire departments, she was always there to lead and lend a helping hand.
Sam loved making people laugh and smile. Her cheerful laugh could light up any room, and her beautiful smile could brighten the darkest days. She was always the loudest one in the room, bringing the party wherever she went. Whether blasting her favorite country songs or a good '90s/2000s hit, you knew that with Sam you were about to have the best time.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you honor Sam's memory by passing on a kind act or smiling at someone who needs a boost. Perhaps plant some beautiful flowers or a tree to keep her memory alive.
Sam touched many lives, and you all meant so very much to her.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for invited family and friends.
