Sharon Linda Berthelette

April 9, 1950 — June 10, 2025

After a long and courageous battle with dementia, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, nana, grandmother, sister, aunty, and friend, who left this world on June 10th, 2025 at 6:07 a.m.

Sharon was so much more than words can ever capture. She was the heart of our family, a woman whose strength, laughter, and unconditional love shaped every life she touched. Even as dementia slowly took pieces of her from us, her spirit remained bright, and full of love and wisdom.

Her story began, as many great ones do, with love. Born in Pine Falls, Manitoba on April 9, 1950, Sharon was the cherished daughter of Leon and Germaine Berthelette. She was one of six siblings: Karen (Ed), Diane (Ray), Brian (Joan), Gary, and Dale (Michelle).

Sharon didn’t have an easy life. But she gave everything she had, to give everyone a better one. She raised her two beautiful children Tammy (Richard) & Shawn Veilleux in Pointe Du Bois, Winnipeg, and Powerview, Manitoba with strength, her wisdom, and a love that was stronger than any pain. She taught them how to be good people. How to stand tall in a world that often knocks you down, in a world that isn’t always gentle and kind. She taught how to forgive, even when you’ve been wronged. And most of all, how to love deeply even when your heart has been broken. Her love only continued to grow with her 7 grandchildren, Shayre(Nathan), Richard, Myles, Amber, Anthony, Layton, Jarrod, great grandchildren, André, Zayvin, Astora & Xander and many nieces, nephews and so many more people she called family.

Sharon was predeceased by her mom, her dad, Granny Tardiff, and Grandma Veilleux, sister Dianne (Ray). And though saying goodbye feels impossible, we find comfort knowing she’s free now. Free from confusion. Free from pain. Free to sing again, with perfect clarity. And we believe, with all our hearts, that they were waiting for her, arms open, fiddle music playing, peace finally hers.

The family would like to thank everyone that took the time to come see her. We would also like to thank all the wonderful staff at Sunnywood.
