Susan Rae Detlor (Kragh-Hansen)

Susan passed away at Health Sciences Centre on December 20, 2025 after a brief illness with cancer.

She leaves behind her sister Brenda, her 3 children Eric, Bjorn (Sara) and Dana (Brett), Bjorn’s son Alvar, her niece Janice and Janice’s children Jordan and Daneeka. She was the glue within her family and will be greatly missed.

Susan was a curious person who loved to learn and explore the world. She was known in her family for her itchy feet that took her to many places around the world to explore and visit people she cared about.

She had a love for people and developed many deep and long-lasting friendships. She was artistic, making the world a prettier place through her love of fabrics and quilting, stained glass and amazing baking. Susan supported many local businesses with her bookkeeping talents, and her math skills were impressive, she loved a good ‘puzzle’.

Susan was thrilled to become a grandmother this past summer after many years of her children only giving her grandchildren of the 4-legged variety.

She had a love for real estate and always had an eye on the next great house to fix up in and around the community she loved. Her love for her community showed through her volunteer work in many different capacities.

Susan touched many lives and left us far too soon.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour.
