Adele Bialek (nee Regula)

1932 ~ 2023

Adele Rose Bialek (Regula), age 91 of Winnipeg, Manitoba, dearly beloved wife of the late Casmir Bialek, passed away with family by her side on May 3, 2023 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg.

She is survived by her children Ben of Vancouver, Cindy (Boris) of Winnipeg, Tammy (Darrin) of Victoria, grandchildren Audrey (James) of Winnipeg, Andrew (Courtney) of Winnipeg and Amber of Victoria.

She was predeceased by parents Robert and Rose Regula, sister Margaret (Ed) Duke, brother Joe Regula, brother Bob (Sally) Regula, son-in-law Jeff Reimann, and son-in-law Andy Orr.

She was born in Cloverleaf, MB, and later lived on the farm near Beausejour for 59 years.  She retired from Beausejour Hospital, and in 2011 Mom and Dad moved to Burgoyne Station in Beausejour.  After a stroke in 2021, Mom  moved to Seine River Retirement Residence in Winnipeg.

Mom had a passion for quilting, collecting anything apple or peacock, loved gardening, playing cards and bingo.  She enjoyed selling quilted placemats, table runners and more at craft sales.  The Bay downtown once sold her many beautiful quilted pieces.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Seine River Retirement Residence and Grace Hospital for the love and care given to Mom.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour, Manitoba.  Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Audrey Orr, Andrew Orr, Amber Crack, Darrin Crack, James Bennett and Boris Wowczuk.

Donations in her memory may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.

A wonderful lady. Every time we ran into each other it was so easy to catch up. A great neighbour for so many years. Best memory is a gathering of the neighbours playing “spoons” in the kitchen. It got down right competitive. I will miss her beautiful smiles.
