Clifford George Rerick

June 9, 1937 ~ September 7, 2023

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Clifford Rerick on September 7, 2023 while dealing with multiple medical issues.

He was now able to celebrate his 63rd wedding anniversary with mom / grandma on September 10, 2023

He will be missed by daughter Debbie (Guy), son Glen (Rosanne), grandchildren Alexis (Jeremy), Matthew and Andrew, in-laws Garry (Lynne), Jim (Trudy), Wayne (Carla), Bob, Bruce (Janice), Raymond and Dawn, and many other relatives and special friends that have helped throughout these last five months.

Grandpa always was on the lookout for a bargain, even if it meant wasting gas to find the cheaper deal!  He enjoyed his grandchildren both in Canada and the US and following the racing circuit with Alexis and Jeremy and wanting to know the results!

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 1:30 pm at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East in Beausejour.

We would like to thank all the people that have helped dad since mom had passed, both in the hospitals and out.

Donations in Cliff’s name may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society and Stars – he had his last exciting trip with Stars to Brandon on August 31, 2023.

Debbie (Guy), Glen (Rosanne), Alexis, Matthew, Andrew; our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during your time of loss.
So many fond memories of Cliff, who, like Irene, always made us feel part of your family. I was thinking about the immaculate yard, the large shop and the attention to detail Cliff always paid in what he did. This influence follows me to this very day where I still try to replicate his auto detailing . Both my kids talk about the same things. The only thing I couldn’t replicate was his fondness for Ford vehicles.
I know he is with Irene now.
      Gone, but never forgotten.

      Peter, Marsha, Kenzie, Tyr.

My deepest condolences Debbie and Glen and families. Cliff and Irene were the first couple that we met when we came to Beausejour in 1962. They knew we were alone and they made us so welcome. Such a great couple, they will be missed in the community. Your friend Gerry.

My deepest condolences to you Debbie & Alexis ! I have so many fond memories of Cliff over the last 3 years that I’ve been apart of both Irene & Cliffs homecare team. After Irene passed away I got the privilege of spending many evenings with Cliff. We would often reminisce about the all the joyful memories of Irene and the joy Alexis and her racing brought them. Cliff is where he’s wanted to be these last 5 months, and that is in the arms of Irene, and throwing frisbee with Danica. I’ll miss you Cliff! Rest in peace my friend. ♥️

I worked with Cliff while we were on the Live Line Crew out of Selkirk. Cliff, myself and a few others did some interesting work at the Overflow Substation south of The Pas. I believe it was some of , if not, the first 230kv hand contact out of a bucket in the province of Manitoba. I had the utmost confidence doing the work with Cliff on the job. He took his work seriously and I really enjoyed my time on the crew with him.
He was even tempered, well mannered and quite the gentleman.

    Rest in peace Cliff.

To the family of Clifford and Irene Rerick,
I have always enjoyed the company of both your mom and dad, and I am sad to know that I will not see them around in person any longer. We always had a good chin wag and a good laugh. Your Dad grew up just behind my mom and dad in Seven Sisters, We were at the edge of town where George (Your grandfather) had sold some land for the purpose of having more houses further west in “Tin Town”. I missed getting together over the chocolate and cake decorating that went on in the house for many years, and would catch up whenever I saw them in town.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time, may Cliff and Irene rest in peace and be together again as in happier times.
