Sadly, and with heavy hearts we announce on the evening of October 10, 2022, Doreen left us after a lengthy battle with cancer. She had such a heart of gold that no one knew of her illness until it was too late.
Doreen is predeceased by her parents Archie and Rita; brother Leo (and wife Elaine;, Michael Fortin (nephew) and niece Jessica.
Left to mourn her are her sisters Laurette Jardine (Willard) and Suzanne; brothers Richard (Denise), Gerald (Michelle), Ron and Marc. Her loving nieces and nephews Andre, Pamela, Angela, Jason (Eileen), Jamie (Evelyn), Angela (Rod), Crystal, Christopher and Liam and the many great nieces and nephews whom will cherish the memory of their caring Aunt Doreen.
Doreen devoted her life selflessly to caring for others, especially her family. She would do without to help make their lives better. A true angel of Mercy. She loved to cook and bake and was always on the look for new recipes to share. Her favourite creatures were turtles and was hoping to have one some day and now she has them surrounding her everywhere.
Doreen, we grieve for you, but we know you are finally at rest, without pain and can now have your much-deserved holiday (in the sky). You are deeply embedded in our hearts now and forever. You will be dearly missed by all your family and friends.
Although a brief stay at Beausjour Hospital, we would sincerely like to thank the staff for their kind compassion in Doreen’s final hours.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the cancer society in her name would be deeply appreciated. A celebration of life will be held next spring (June) when the spring flowers will be bursting in her honour.
