Dorothy Mcdougall

March 28, 1936 — March 28, 2019

1936 ~ 2019

Dorothy McDougall passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the age of 82.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her husband Lloyd, daughters Linda and Donna (Jim), grandchildren Travis (Ghislaine) and Brandy (Erik), and great grandchildren Liam and Claire.  She is survived by her siblings Bert (Anne), Francis (Gordon), Margaret, Chuck (Laverne), Lorna (Gordon) and their families, as well as many friends.  Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Ed and Violet Gosselin and baby Frank.

Dorothy was born in Ashern, MB.  After leaving home she worked as the banquet co-ordinator for the Curtis Hotel until she married Lloyd McDougall in 1957.  Together they moved to Lac du Bonnet where they worked and raised their family for the past 61 years.  Dorothy was a private person who loved her family dearly.  She liked nothing better than to have her family all together.  Many trips were made back home to Ashern to enjoy time with her parents and siblings throughout the years.  Dorothy was talented and creative – crafting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting and cooking for family were ways of expressing her love to all of us.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home and Dr. Bruneau for the care and commitment they provided mom.

As per Dorothy’s wishes cremation has already taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

“You will always be in hour hearts and lovingly remembered”
