Elsa Sydorko

March 28, 1945 — March 28, 2022

1945 – 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elsa on September 21, 2022.

Elsa is survived by her brother David (Pat), nieces, nephews and extended family.  Elsa was predeceased in September 2021 by her loving husband Steve of 49 Years.

Elsa and Steve worked together in their seasonal fast-food restaurant in Lac du Bonnet and enjoyed winters in Florida and Texas.  Their travels included Nashville, where they were big fans of the Grand Ole Opry and were passionate about Bluegrass music.

Elsa, the ultimate shopper, was happiest when Steve dropped her off at the mall for a day of shopping and particularly, buying!  Born and raised in Winnipeg, Elsa embraced the country life and affectionately cared for the chickadees, hummingbirds and chipmunks that shared their parklike setting along the river in Lac du Bonnet.

After confronting her own anxiety and panic attack issues, Elsa found her calling in first volunteering and then becoming a group facilitator for Anxiety Disorders Association of Manitoba (ADAM).  She added a spark to every family gathering with her humour and practical jokes that were especially enjoyed by children.  If she knew it was your birthday, she made sure to call you and sing Happy Birthday repeatedly.

Her resume stated that “I like to keep busy”.  This typified her life.

Rest easy, girl.  We will miss you so much.

Private internment has taken place.
