Kelly Cooper

February 19, 1957 – April 9, 2023

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle who passed away on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was 66.

Kelly was predeceased by his parents Olga and Harold, brother Gillis, as well as numerous other family members.

Kelly will be lovingly remembered by his spouse Laura; children Michael, Chrystal, Tanya (Ben), Kayla and Steven; and numerous grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister Pearl (John), close dear friend Angie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Kelly had a love of the great outdoors; fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, camping… he loved to be outside. He also loved animals, dogs especially; and to be around people.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kelly’s memory to CancerCare Manitoba.

As per Kelly’s request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

Many thanks to the staff at Beausejour Hospital for all their care and compassion.

You’re not just an uncle to me, you also had a big part in my upbringing. All my childhood memories are with my dad and you.
You always had the right words to say when dad passed away, you always went out of your way to tell me how much he loved me and how proud he would be, and you stepped up and loved me like he did. I have so much love for you , and I’m so heartbroken that you are now gone.
Heaven is so lucky , I will forever love you, I will forever celebrate you!!

I miss you so much already!!
I wasn’t ready to say goodbye but I knew it was time. R.I.P my amazing , sweet, fun loving uncle !!!!!

Daddy. Words cant even describe how much I’m hurting now that you’re gone. I always loved your sweet couragous smile and how happy you were just being at the farm where you called home. I always knew as a child and growing up that I was always loved unconditionally. You and my mom were sooo much fun. My heart hurts deeply now that you’re gone. I hope you’re dancing up there in heaven with Uncle Gillis and the rest of the fam….. RIP Daddy …Forever in my heart and never forgetten. I will always celebrate you!! xoxox
