Peacefully at her home on Monday, October 24, 2022, Lillian Meyer (nee Malkoske) passed away at the age of 85.

Lillian was the beloved sister of twin brother Lloyd and wife Manda and brother Harold and wife Norma.  Lillian also cherished her six nieces and one nephew, Rudy’s five nieces and nephews as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her father Ferdinand in 1976, her husband Rudy Meyer in 1994, and her mother Lydia in 2005.

Lillian was born on September 22, 1937 in Winnipeg.  She grew up on the family farm along the Whitemouth River attending school in Oldenburg, MB.  Lillian moved to Winnipeg in 1955 where she worked in a sewing factory.  In 1963, she started working for Pauline Chambers Interlake Foods (Paulin’s) where she remained until her retirement in 1986.  Lillian married Rudy Meyer in September 1972.  They lived in Pine Ridge Village for 15 years and in 1987 they moved to the Beausejour area.  After Rudy’s and her mom’s passing, Lillian moved into her home in the town of Beausejour where she resided until her death.

Lillian enjoyed spending time with family, listening to Old Time Country music, and looking after her home.  She was very independent and loved her nieces and nephews like her own.  Lillian was an active member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lydiatt, MB for many years.
