Mervyn Sidney Anderson

On Thursday, January 21, 2021, Mervyn Sidney Anderson passed peacefully away in his sleep at the age of 81.

Mervyn was born in Stockton, Mb. on August 23, 1939 to Melville and Sarah  (Dolly) Anderson nee Jefferies, who owned and operated the Stockton General Store.

Mervyn was greeted in Heaven by his parents, his brother Earle and sister-in-law Shirley Anderson, sister Donna Arran, brother-in-law Jack Arran, sister  Doreen Cooke and many friends from ago.

Mervyn was a wonderful, incredibly kind man who acquired many friends throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing, curling, his time in Lynn Lake and his work as a meat cutter and owner of the Whitemouth First Stop General Store.

Later in life, Merv enjoyed twenty years of travel and camping trips with his beloved Yvonne and their fur baby Ty, making even more friends.

Mervyn leaves to mourn him longtime love, Yvonne Grausdin (Ty), her two children and their families. Mervyn also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews along with their families and many dear friends too numerous to name.

The families would like to thank Rhonda at Sobering Funeral Chapel & Crematorium for her kindness while guiding us through this difficult time.

Mervyn requested no service and cremation has taken place.

Rest easy Merv. You are loved.

My condolence to Yvonne, her family and Mervyns nieces and nephews. Mervyn was my brother in law and over the past fifty years or so we have shared many wonderful times camping and fishing and with family and friends. He was not just family but also a great buddy. A kind and generous man who will remain in the memories of those who knew him and be sadly missed by all.
A donation In Mervyns memory will be made to the Humane Society to help with the care of the animals that Mervyn was so fond of.

We wish to express our sympathies to Mervin and his family. When he owned the Whitemouth First Stop store, we used to get our beef cut by him and he taught me a lot about the meat, what to look for, why different things happen to the meat etc. It is knowledge that we still use today and pass on to our grandchildren, so much appreciated.

    Rest in peace.
