Rose Elizabeth Gmitroski (Nee Schultz)

Peacefully, on April 29, 2023, at East Gate Lodge in Beausejour, Rose Gmitroski passed away.  She was 93 years old.

She was predeceased by her husband John in 2019.  In addition, Rose was predeceased by her siblings Joan, Adeline, Steffie, Katie, John, Joey and Richard.  She was also predeceased by her sister-in-law Nina (Tom) Regula, brother-in-law Robert (Millie) Gmitroski and Ted (Helen) Gmitroski.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Sharon Gmitroski and her granddaughter Jackie McLure. As well she is survived by her sisters Clara Matchizen and Pat (Richard) Rattai and brother-in-law Tony (Audrey) Gmitroski and sister-in-law Betty Bodnar.

Rose was born and raised in Cromwell on the family farm.  She worked in Winnipeg binding books.  Rose and John married in 1966 and Rose moved to the farm and became a mother and a housewife.  She volunteered her time at the Tyndall Curling Rink. 

Cremation has taken place and a service will take place at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home.

Many thanks to the staff at East Gate Lodge, Rose Unit for all their care and compassion they showed towards my mother.
